Get the competitive edge you've been after in your marketing career

If you’re like many digital marketers, you’ve probably been watching the rapid changes in technologies like generative AI with some anxiety.

Will AI soon replace a lot of the creative work you’re doing? Could your job be at risk? And what can you do to stay ahead of these changes and give yourself an edge to excel in your marketing career?

Undertaking a government-funded apprenticeship in advanced data analytics could be the leg-up you need.

Enrolment deadline: 20 January 2024

Why data analytics?

“Analytics'' ranked third on MarketingWeek’s top 10 list of marketing skills on the rise. But despite growing demand, according to the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), data analysis is one of the least common skills within the industry.

Learning data analytics can help you solve some of your greatest challenges, including:

  • Boost your data-driven decision-making: One of the main challenges for digital marketers is making decisions based on intuition or outdated practices. With data analytics skills, you can make informed decisions based on actual data, ensuring you’re getting the best results possible from your efforts.
  • Understand your customer behaviour: Analysing data can provide insights into customer behaviour, preferences, and patterns. This allows you to tailor campaigns more effectively, predict trends, and understand the customer journey in detail.
  • Measure and attribute your ROI: LinkedIn estimates that 90% of marketers say improving CFO understanding of ROI is key to bolstering future budgets. Build analytic skills that will empower you to link your efforts to the outcomes that matter most—like revenue.
  • Drive more sales and engagement with personalisation: According to McKinsey & Company, 71% of consumers expect personalisation and 76% of consumers get frustrated when they don’t find it. Data analytics can help you segment your audience based on behaviour, preferences, and demographics, helping you deliver more personalised and relevant content.

“The diversity and level of the teaching staff was surprising. We were taught by people who’ve run or worked in FTSE 100 companies, others who were biomedical scientists with a background in data science. It wasn’t fuddy-duddy, entrenched lecturers without any real-world experience. It was people who have done this and understand the value of it and want to impress upon you how valuable it is. Huge surprise. Absolutely phenomenal."
