From challenging stereotypes to championing diverse voices, let's talk about empowering change-makers to shape a more inclusive future for all.
Speakers:Adrienne Leonard is the Head of Data Science at Cirium (part of LexisNexis Risk Solutions), a global leader in Aviation Analytics. As the first Data Scientist to join the Cirium team in 2016, she has built Data Science into a core function in the business. She now manages a high-performing global team of Data Scientists and Analysts delivering a portfolio of new products to market, and leads the implementation of Cirium’s AI strategy. Adrienne also serves as the Executive Sponsor for LexisNexis Risk Solution’s Data Science Graduate Programme and is a mentor in the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Maternity and Paternity Mentoring Scheme. Prior to Cirium, Adrienne spent seven years as an academic researcher in Astronomy after obtaining her PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2009.
Lilian is a qualified accountant, who trained with Ernst & Young Zimbabwe. She is the holder of a BCompt Degree specialising in Accounting and Audit from the University of South Africa and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). During her career, which has spanned over 25 years and seen her make a career change from the world of Accounting into the world of Business Intelligence, Lilian has worked in Audit and held various Accounting and Business Intelligence roles. She currently works for TUI and is one of their Heads of Commercial Analytics and Reporting, specifically responsible for Commercial Data, Margins and Ancillaries. Her team are responsible for the delivery of specialist business intelligence solutions which leverage technology to source and integrate commercial business data into the data warehouse. The team also build solutions that optimise the process for determining business profitability. Using enterprise reporting software the team also provide business users with reporting capabilities to answer strategic and operational reporting questions.
McKinley Hyden, Director of Data Value & Strategy at Financial TimesMcKinley Hyden is the director of the Data Value & Strategy team which she launched in 2020 to increase the value and impact of the FT’s data & analytical capabilities. Since then, McKinley has driven a range of transformational projects, particularly in enabling non-analysts to benefit from advanced data capabilities through self-service and analytical fluency. In 2023, her team launched the FT’s first ever Data Academy which included 15 workshops and 9 online resources created by inhouse SMEs. The response has been overwhelming with over 500 attendees and top notch feedback scores. In the same year, she helped launch Metrics That Matter, a company wide initiative to clarify & optimise the metrics used around the organisation. Frameworks and reporting have been rolled out to 7 departments and have already been embedded into departmental planning - to great success!
Sarah Jewkes, Director of Insights & Analytics at Dunelm
Sarah is the Director of Insight and Analytics at Dunelm, the UKs leading Homewares retailer, where she leads the Analytics, Data Science, Data Management and Consumer Research teams. She started her career in retail as an analyst at Tesco, before spending 9 years at Expedia Group where she built and led global teams focusing on digital marketing effectiveness and website & app optimisation. Sarah is passionate about helping others to use data effectively both in business and their everyday lives. Sarah's focus since joining Dunelm in 2021 has been on building a talented and diverse team of data and research professionals to embed customer centric and data informed decision making across all areas of the business.
