Women’s health has historically been underrepresented in healthcare research, policy, and delivery - from conditions like endometriosis and menopause to disparities in screening, mental health, and maternity outcomes.
This hackathon invites early-career analysts to dive into data and spotlight the realities of women’s health in the NHS. How can we visualise better care, access, and outcomes for women? And how can we use data to drive positive change?
Created in collaboration between AphA and Cambridge Spark, the Women in Health Data Network is dedicated to empowering women in health and care to excel in data roles.
Our Mission is to foster a supportive community that equips women with essential skills, encourages professional development, and creates meaningful opportunities for growth within the NHS and the broader health and care sector.
Officially launching in April 2025, the NHS Data and Analytics academy is made up of 4 different workstreams. Supporting new talent to join the NHS, upskilling of core competency skills for the existing workforce, developing the data leaders needed in the NHS and supporting the development of data skills and confidence in the wider NHS workforce.
